Dumpster Rental FAQ — Meriden, CT
Got questions? We've got answers. If you don't see what you're looking for, give us a call.
What can I put in a dumpster?+
Most non-hazardous household and construction debris is accepted. This includes furniture, appliances (with freon removed), drywall, lumber, roofing shingles, concrete, dirt, yard waste, and general household junk. Items NOT allowed: paint, chemicals, batteries, tires, asbestos, and medical waste.
How long can I keep the dumpster?+
Our standard rental period is 7 days. If you need more time, just call us — we offer affordable daily extensions. Many customers finish in 3-4 days, but there's no penalty for using the full week.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster?+
If the dumpster sits on your private property (driveway, yard, or job site), no permit is needed. If you need it placed on a public street or sidewalk in Meriden, a permit from the city may be required. We can guide you through the process.
What dumpster sizes do you offer?+
We carry 10-yard, 15-yard, 20-yard, and 30-yard roll-off dumpsters. The 10-yard is great for small cleanouts; the 30-yard handles major demolition. Not sure which size? Call us and we'll recommend based on your project.
How is pricing determined?+
Pricing depends on three factors: dumpster size, rental duration, and type/weight of debris. We provide upfront flat-rate quotes that include delivery, pickup, disposal, and a set weight allowance. No hidden fees — ever.
Do you recycle materials?+
Yes. We sort and recycle as much as possible including metals, concrete, clean wood, cardboard, and asphalt shingles. We work with local recycling facilities to minimize landfill impact.
Can I place a dumpster on my lawn?+
Yes, but we recommend placing plywood boards under the dumpster wheels to protect your grass. We can provide boards upon request at no extra charge.
